Zespół The Verve Pipe został założony w 1991 roku, jako amerykańska post-grungowa kapela. W 1992 roku w wyniku współpracy z producentem- Jonem Frazerem powstaje pierwszy album (EP), zatytułowany I've Suffered a Head Injury. Zespół wydał cztery LP: * Pop Smear

* Underneath Ponadto utwór Colorful pojawił się w filmie Rockstar.
